When will I receive my order?
Every item is handmade to order. Please allow 1-2 weeks for production time. We ship on a first come, first serve basis. At this time, Yam is not taking rush requests. However if your order is time sensitive, please see our stockists page or purchase a Yam gift card.
I don't have pierced ears, can I convert an earring to a clip on?
The answer is yes!
Several styles can be converted to a clip on, including hoop earrings.

What's the difference between gold filled and gold plated?
Both gold filled and gold plated jewelry involve the process of bonding a layer of gold onto a base metal. Gold filled items have a thicker layer of gold and will not change color. Gold plated items will eventually discolor over time. To extend the life of gold plating, avoid wearing jewelry in water and wipe off with a cotton cloth after each use.
How do I care for my jewelry?
Wipe off all jewelry after wear and avoid wearing items in water.
For gold plated items, do not use a polishing cloth. Store in a cloth bag or jewelry box when not in use.
How can I get something repaired?
All repairs are welcomed and will be accompanied by a fee, dependent on the level of damage. Please email email@example.com with proof of purchase, a photo and a short description of the damage.
Do you ship internationally?
We do ship internationally. If you do not see your shipping location, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will gladly add it to the shop. Please note that all customers are responsible for all customs fees.
How can I remove tarnish?
Brass and silver naturally tarnish over time. If you want to bring back shine, simply wipe down with a polishing cloth or scrub with a toothbrush, mild soap and water. For polishing cloths, we recommend Sunshine Polishing Cloths.
My package is marked as delivered but I didn't receive it?
Yam is not responsible for lost or stolen items, however we will do our best to assist you.
If your order is wrongly addressed, on our end, Yam claims full responsibility and we will happily re-send free of charge.
What is this insurance fee?
Due to ongoing challenges with USPS, Yam is now insuring all packages. Our number one goal is to protect you and your purchases.
All purchases will be insured unless otherwise specified by the customer.
Please note, for international buyers, there will be an additional insurance charge. If you wish not to pay for the additional fees, please reach out to email@example.com.
What's your return policy?
All returns must be made within 7 days for store credit. Item(s) must be unused with the original packaging. The customer is responsible for all shipping charges and will not be refunded. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with proof of purchase and reason for the return.
